the starter gear is not coming all the way out and it is grinding against the flywheel ring gear. You may have some worn spots on the gear or the starter solenoid is getting weak. Check the connections to the starter for corrosion and good contact. It is not a major thing, if it was mine I wouldn't care but I am lazy.

The brrrrinnnngg noise is missing teeth on the ring gear..caused by trying to start the car while it is already running.

A Clicking noise or Brrrrr noise sometimes happens when the solenoid is almost worn out, or the battery is flat, not providing enough voltage to keep the solenoid fully on.

If the sound is obviously metallic then as stated above, then either the pinion is not coming out enough to engage the flywheel, or you've dropped some teeth.

If the sound is very rapid and sounds like a fluttering relay, slightly plastic in nature, then you have an electrical problem in your starter circuit, possibilities including bad grounds, old/tired magnetic switch on the starter, old/tired battery, crap connections on your harness, etc.

just replaced the flywheel and it had all the teeth, so unless i recently lost one then it should be the starter. if i leave it could this hurt my flywheel if the teeth arent catching and is there a usdm starter to use?

Yes, chances are that if you dropped a tooth it is on the starter, as the smaller-diameter pinion is required to exert a larger tangential force to equivocate the resisting torque of the larger-diameter flywheel. Thus the stresses in the teeth of the starter pinion will be greater and therefore the starter pinion is more prone to stress related failure.

Technical babble aside, I can't give you a USDM equivalent because i have no real experience with CA engines, but I'm sure the moderators here can help you out.
