Now that we're starting to deal with smaller issues (for now, anyway) here's another one. The chrome trim that goes up the A-pillar across the roof line and down the C-pillar should be mounted with screws. Ours is mounted with a few screws (lots of empty screw holes) and and abundance of what looks like silicone adhesive - ugly as hell.

I see on our '92 there's a black plastic strip inserted somehow over all the screw heads completely hiding them. You can't even see how the chrome trim is attached to the car.

Can this plastic strip be bought? Does anybody have one or two? I need one for each side. I don't know if they are the same left and right.

Thanks,Glenn

I'm having trouble visualizing this problem. I myself wondered how the chrome was attached. I attributed it to Japanese brilliance.

Mine on the drivers side needs to be replaced,i couldnt quite figure out the best way to go about starting the project, guess ill be tackling that soon.Ive completely redone my interior with the exception of leather ,im hoping to start that project in about 2 months when i get the rest of the funds for the leather.
