I'm looking to see if anyone is interested in chrome needle caps for your guages. It looks like a million bucks!! You can find generic polished billet ones on the web for $100+ but mine weigh nothing and will not alter the physics of the needles. It's plastic coated in chrome, and will outlast your car since they are inside the sterile gauge cluster. I'll do the dremel work, test fit every set, and ship them for $10. I'll also include detailed instructions with pics to make it a very easy install. All you need is your adhesive of choice. For these applications, I prefer black silicone since it allows you time to set them before drying, and if for some reason you have to take them off or replace them, silicone can be easilly scrapped off and re-applied with no damage. (black silicone is available at your local parts store for 2-3 bucks, next to the gasket maker and other glues).

Here are the pics, and as you can see, the upgrade is stunning!!! I've already recieved tons of compliments from my friends. Take your guages to the next level of luxury:

It should work just fine for almost any car, honestly. It just happens that I can make them an exact fit for the G50. But never fear, I have enough confidence in my power tool skils, that I can dremel the gaps enough to be sure it will fit and still look like a million bucks. I'm gonna get a few sets done today, and I'll make one for ya that should fit your Y33.

As far as other mods that accent this one, you could try a Bezel cover. It also goes into the gauge area, but I haven't seen one for the Y33. Have seen some for the G50 on ebay, and it looks like this:

I personally wouldn't put a Bezel on, moslty because I have one of those "Serenity Mattes", the electroluminecent thing on some G50s.

Let me know if your still interested in the needle caps.

that bezel is super tacky. Can you make some gauge trim rings. that would be sexy

Yeah i agree the bezel is tacky.. I've been looking high and low for some trim rings. Mazda is well noted for their trim rings, and I'm jealous of the ones in my miata. I probably couldn't make them myself, but I will look into it since I'm also dying for some. In a perfect world I would source some trim rings and make a kit with the needle caps. Will try

I didn't get much interest in the clocks... too bad cuz they realllly look cool. I'll still do one for anyone who wants one! I just gotta know which clock to get off ebay (black or gold) and I'll do all the rest of the work.

I've been sooo busy with school.

But I plan on getting a few sets of Needle Caps ready this weekend. Installation is pretty easy, but kinda a pain in the a$$ because you gotta take the dash apart a little to remove the gauge cluster. Once the guages are removed from the car, the clear plastic comes off easilly, and then you can put the Needle Caps right onto the needles. Pretty easy and I'll do a full write up with pix this weekend.

Well, I for one would love a clock. I guess I would need a black/silver one. One with a black face would look quite fetching in my Q.
