chrome grille chip - TSB or ITB?

Hey Guys,

I have read in multiple places that people were able to get their chrome grills replaced under warranty at the dealers. I have a 2008 G35 and have a lot of chips in less than 1 month and under 1000 miles. Dealer says they cannot find any TSB that says new grille is better. They (frontier infiniti) claim they have never heard of this problem.

Basically they asked me to get the TSB or ITB and they will replace it.

I would probably tell them to bend over open wide an insert.

Just go back and ask how come the paint around the grill is perfect. Because if they think you were tailgating somebody and that's why you have the grill chipped then the paint around the grill should be chipped too. The chrome should be harder to chip then the paint. You don't have to get the tsb for anything.It probably helps but not necessery. So if your car won't start they will ask tsb or they won't fix it? You have the warranty and you have a problem with your car. They have to fix it. If yours looks like mine looked like before they replaced it then it explains everything. Don't have to say anything.

I had the same last year they replaced it under warranty no problem. I was probably one of the first one who complained about it. They replaced mine in January 07. Since that no issue.
