I have been looking at getting a chrome grill insert for my black Rogue to make it stand out. I seen this one on ebay for $80.00 CAD which is cheap compared to the one that Nissan sells for over $200.00 CAD. Has anyone ordered this grill and is it comparable in quality and colour to the one Nissan sells?

I bought this grille and believe me it is the same quality as the OEM. It has the double sided tape on it and I installed it as per the Nissan instructions. It is the same as the Nissan grille and less than half the price. It's been on for about 6 months. No problems. Go for it.

Is it the same color chrome as the Nissan emblem in the center? I noticed some of them look like a dark grey color. So this was the same seller you went through? Seems like a cheap price for sure.

you can get it a bit cheapper from hubcap (something) on Ebay too. Its the samething and it looks great.

I think they offer (or best offer). I used it to and got my grill for 70.00 shipped.

The '08-'10 models all have the same identical grille... except for the Krom edition of course.

I have the exact one and it fits fine. It looks just like an OEM and the guy on eBay takes best offers. My offer of $72 was accepted. I would assume that with the 2011's coming with a new grille that these will drop in price. I would wait a few weeks/moths until the new Rogue is out and "low ball" a best offer and see if he bites - I bet he will.

Okay I finally received my grill which has the 3M tape on it. What is the best way to install this? Is it wise to heat the glue a bit before putting it on and hold it down for a couple minutes? Also what should I use to clean the wax off? I want to make sure it stays on for good.

Just clean the grill with a solution consisting of 50% water and 50% alcohol. Also there is no reason to heat up the 3M tape. Just peel back the liner and stick it on. Below are the instructions for the OEM Nissan grill, yours should go on very similar to this one. Did you get any instructions with yours?

just paint it. Or powder coat it black.

Painting is an option.

Powder coating is typically used on metal parts. It requires 200C (390F) heat to cure that would quickly melt most plastics. All of the chrome grills I have seen including the OEM one are chrome plated plastic... powder coating is not an option.

I went ahead and went with the chrome, I like it more than I thought I would.

Not a fan of those stripe type grills but it looks good when it is more than one like on your car. Would be even better in my opinion to fill the space around nissan logo with the same grill. Here's my '11 bumper with E&G grill that will painted by the end of this week:
