Does anyone know where i can get chrome door handles?? someone scuffed TWO of my handles up so far with their doors. i figure ican cover up the scuffs and dress the car up a bit at the same time. I've looked quite a bit but have had no luck yet. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi, I have a black Tiida with chrom door handle cover. I did it at e-Bay purchased. The handles are on the tapes with 2M stuck. So far they hold very well, despite rain, cold and snow. I now turn since May.Here are a few recent e-Bay offers:

Do you have any pics? I have been considering these. I guess they are permanent, if you try to remove the 3M it might damage the paint, correct?

Ah Ha...seems I'm not the only one who misses the chrome details on new cars these days...the car makers reserve those bits for the upscale models.

But if you look around long enough on this forum, you will find guys who strip off every bit of chrome-like trim and would gladly give it to you for postage.

Longo,

Nice Pics, I love the badlands in the background. About the woodgrain dash kit. Do you really want your V to look like a Lincoln Continental ? To each their own. Just out of curiosity what percent tint is on your windows?

Hi, Thanks for noticing. My window tint request was for "Limo-Tint" on the rear side windows, and one shade lighter for the rear hatch window. It was done at a Tint Shop, and cost about $170.00

My Woodgrain dash kit was bought off eBay for $75.00 and installed by me. My 3rd installation, everyone of them a near death experience, and I don't mean the good kind.

I never thought of comparing it to Fords Land Barge tho, the look I was shooting for was more Lexus-Like.

If you need to remove any item that uses the 3-M adhesive, the easist way is to soften it up first with a 'heat gun' and it will then release it's death grip. There might be some left over glue but that will come off with an alcohol based solvent.

Not an acetone solvent or then it will soften the paint as well as the glue.

In either case be quick and don't dribble.

Hmm sounds like me after my prostate operation.

Longo,

I will have to admit that the woodgrain kit looks good with that color interior. Your right, looks more like a Lexus than a land Yacht.

I have chrome door handles on Kit, got them on eBay. They have been on for a couple years now and still look as good as day 1.

A pic:

I also got the chrome front grille on eBay too ... Yes I love chrome accents on cars.

Even added chrome along the window base.
