I believe this has been done via something like that peelable paint, etc.

Aolson345. I did the plastidip approach to the g37 I had and it turn out good. But it will be a flat or mat black look. Even when I added glossifier. Very simple DIY. Now that I have a M37 I plan on deleting the chrome with vinyl to get more of a glossy look. Also a simple DIY from what I've seen. The product I'm contemplating is sold by Rvinyl. There other types or vendors. All in all, is about the look you are going for. Oh and plastidip you can buy at an auto parts or even lowes.

Definitely played out! Hopefully this trend dies out quicker than the Coronavirus
