What all did you guys get for your CA's for Christmas?

I got.....

HKS wastegate actuator...... for the CA!!! Woot!

No trying to jimmy up an SR one to fit, this is an actual application for the CA's. Got it second hand from England, but it looks like it has never been used. All the parts are still in the baggies! It was a bit more than an SR actuator, but to have one that is application specific for us makes up the price difference.

It is adjustable from .8 bar to 1.2 bar.

I will probably just set mine at .8 or .9 and have some fun for now! I don't have a chipped ecu so I won't be able to take full advantage of the 1.2 bar setting yet.

Plus my Christmas bonus at work was a little more than expected and I also got 1st place in my Fantasy Football league last night (Brett Favre is the frickin man!) and that is some extra unexpected cash so I am definately getting my HKS SSQV now and eyeing a torque dampner. I will report back so let you guys know if an SR one works on the CA.

Joe

Well, I was able to finally get my woman's sentra out the paint shop just to run it on the track on 12/21/03. After days of hooking everything back up and at least making it somewhat track worthy.

Cost me $60 + $25 for a kill switch that I had to buy if I wanted to run the car and now I'm set. 1st run was against a friend's normally 13 second VW GTI with big boost audi engine and custom everything including standalone; smoked him at a measely 14.7@104mph to his 14.8@100mph (got video as well).

Next run was against my buddy and his KA24DE(T) powered 240sx and caught him sleeping at the lights and smoked him as well with another 14.7@103mph. The car has helical LSD, well abused internally stock CA18DET with the only addition of some HKS camshafts.

The car has not been tuned since the accident and the spark plugs haven't been inspected since feb. 2002 (awesome). I had regular worn street tires on board and boost was locked at 15psi causing the tires to light up even in 3rd gear. All I can say that it is one of the sickest sounding cars I've ever heard and at 15psi and some good radials or even slicks, this car would easily 12's at 15psi

I got a car for my CA. Turned out to be in way worse condition than the owner told me. Oh well, I guess it will work after I put several hours of fix-up into it. Now Next month I am sending the 180SX wiring harness to unstable hybrids to have them modify it. (How much work is it really to make the 180SX harness work in the 240SX??)

like 30mins of work, most of that is the rewrapping the harness with electical tape and split loom

My CA was out of a 180SX. It doesnt really matter if it came out of a Silvia or 180SX. The harness would be the same.

But yea, I modified mine and its so easy. It takes 30 minutes max.
