It was a great Christmas morning but some assembly and/or installation is required. Floor lamp, instant hot water dispenser for the kitchen sink, antenna for the TV, floor safe, metal 800+ CD rack, 20+ CDs to transfer to the external hard drive collection and make sure the information tags are there and correct. I know what I'm doing the next few days. :)

Not to mention doing the dishes, sweeping up the Christmas tree needles, taking down and packing up lights, ornaments and decorations, recycling a lot of cardboard and wrapping paper, putting away the new tools, organizing the new toys, washing the new clothes, writing thank you cards... yeah, I'm busy also!

I hope yours was as good as ours. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Back at you! Yes, it was the best Christmas in 10 years.

Fortunately cleanup isn't that bad here. Visiting family members always help with the dishes, artificial Christmas tree with pre-strung lights, all ornaments and decorations have their own labeled boxes and containers, the kids are old enough we don't have to worry about toys any more. cardboard and wrapping paper just goes in the city recycling bin which is now sitting at the curb and only a few new clothes this year. Sounds like your aftermath is a little more work than mine.

Anyway, have a great new year.

Looks like I'm going to get off easier this year. We hosted a get-together among families so I unwrapped a sound bar early and hung in the living room so we could play Christmas music from our collection out there all night. Only other assembly item so far is a bed frame I'll build on the 26th.

Meals are at other family member's houses this year so I'm even off the hook for that.

I hope everyone is enjoying a safe and stress-free December.

Decorations and tree are up! We're havin' the in-laws over. Our house needs a thorough going over this weekend, then we'll be ready. It should be a good one this year. Merry Christmas!

:bigthumb: One of our family traditions is to put up the decorations on Thanksgiving weekend. They come down the weekend after New Year's.
