Anyone buy/get some nice Christmas goodies for the CA?

I'll start and put the SDS EFI EM-3F as a christmas present for myself.

Indeed! I got another S13 with a CA that I built and an SDS system that I installed. It's actually a trade, but it's still a gift as it is a running car that I built and tuned for a good customer/friend.

New alternator? Not really much of a gift, but it needed it. I miss driving my car. On the upside, I'll have a writeup on how to install an alternator from a '97 Nissan Quest when I finish installing it! LOL

Gonna try and get the tensioner modified today, but we'll see how work goes. I've got dinner with some friends tonight, so we'll see how it goes.

Dee, got any pictures of your new whip?

Nutcse, which injectors did you buy?

sbj, i had one of those drain plugs in my old coupe, neat little idea... (I ran a bone stock KA with advanced timing, so it caught next to nothing), you should consider a turbo blanket to manage engine bay temperatures as well...

float, :S sounds like you took the hard road on the alternator... can't you just get a shop to rebuild the stock CA alt?

I could have had the stock on rebuilt, but it's a Mitsubishi based alternator and apparently those are REALLY hard to get parts for. It would have cost me nearly $200 to rebuild it and that's at a BIG discount. The Quest alternator was less than $160 w/tax.

The second reason is that I needed the increased amperage from the Quest alternator because I'm using an electric pump for the power steering/brake booster and it pulls as much as 60amps at full blast. I'm also planning on having a mild stereo setup in the car.

My computer has been jacked-up for quite some time, so I haven't used a camera in ages. The car had to be towed to my house because it wouldn't start, so after a few minutes of probing and testing, I had determined the coilpack base was bad. I changed it to a spare one I had and "Voila" . Only problem is that is $275 part from racetec, so uggghh! Anyone here know someone that's into data recovery? Most of my photos are in my bad hard drive that's been sitting in a box for quite some time.

Hey hey thats what happens when you get married and buy a house..........

In a month or so engine block will be sent to the machine shop, head is already done (4 port head, tomei 270/8.8 cams, tomei valve springs, porting), CPC FWD intake manifold, Masterpower T61 turbo.... should be interesting to see what it does on the dyno.

Be wary of that master power turbo. I hope the Aussie variants are better than the ones around here. They're okay, but I've seen them fail on the regular. What size back housing are you using with that puppy? Did you address your LSD issue or lack there-of? I do understand about the getting married and buying a home thing. I'm not married, but I've been with my children's mother for a very long time and I am a home owner, but that's not my problem. The problem is time and I don't have much of it; especially with all the car crap I got going on. I got too many cars and only one me to either maintain, build or enhance them. But just know that you are not alone :ohnoes2
