Hey guyz, as you all probably know by now .. I'm the guy who's always looking around for body kits and stuff. I was looking for the monkey magic uras body kit for the rps13, and i found it . . and I also found the ikeya formula body kit . . which sparked a new concern in my mind. Is the 240sx that they have the body kit on chopped? It's top looks like it was chopped off . .dont know if it's me or it really is chopped off like signal auro's chop top civic . .please let me know and help me alleviate my curiosity . .

Yeah, it's chopped. . "read" a review on it, too bad it was in Japanese. . very interesting rear suspension setup. BTW, it's not a 240sx.

Niice, the chopped top gives it a more sleek aerodynamic look. I wonder if they replaced the front windshield, rear hatch, and rear quarter glass. Too much custom fabrication and $$$. But it's orginal nevertheless! Is that S13 pink or red? Hmm, I think I need a new monitor now.

yeah, chit looks super sweet. i'm planning on doing that to my 89 fast back after I get the wide body kit from jspec.com, the one on the black and red fast back in the tokyo auto salon 2001 (0?) pictures they have in their gallery... that would be AMAZING!!

gonna put the sr20 in first tho

probably upwards of 10k...LOTS of custom fabrication work...you have to have the shop do sheetmetal work just to chop the top...let alone custom fab the glass all around...adjust the window motors to fit height wise...new windshield wipers...i wonder if it'd be street legal due to the change of the structural integrety of the top

you're not gonna do it

Lots of people do chop top cars .. . mostly old *** street rods n stuff, find out from one of those guys. . there has to be a body shop in your area that'll do it. . I know of a few here in town that'll do it. Truth is tho, that the cars they do it to have a following of people that like to do that kinda thing, so there's a market. . I bet they sell KITS (glass, etc) to do it. .

But, if I get a chance I'll ask.

LOL. Yeah, I'm guessing that if I can find the right parts or people to help me do the chop top on my 89 240 . . that it should in no way exceed 2500....

How can you tell that it was chopped off? And so they just put on a removable Hard Top right?
