in the time it took you to write search you could have atleast gave him a start. Or is it you just don't know what to tell him.

You need to take a look at the lobe center on the cams, it is also called peak angle and i believe HKS calls it valve timing. For turbo cars you will generally want something in the 108-116 range to maximize the intake and exhaust valve timing. I guess that is why HKS calls it valve timing, that never occured to me until now

you need 2 take in consideration fuel, air, spark, valve springs honestly if your sr is mostly stock dont bother with cams yet stephan papadakis did this big speal on cams 4sr and found that there is more hp with stock cams on a stock sr than if u would upgrade 2 stage 2 (264 deg.)but if u have upgradeed than 264deg cams are the way 2 go

You need to give us some idea on your setup for anyone to suggest to you a proper cam for the setup.

or power goals, willingness to sacrifice a stable idle, track or street, head work or stock head, etc. Details before something as general as "what cams should I get."

after reading this i'm kind curious myself. how about some general stuff so he (and i) can figure it out ourselves. that's half the fun anyway.

nice setup would be...garret gt30r jwt s4 cams (or step up to the c series)headwork(not too much now)swaintech coat head, valves, ports, and pistonsand of course supporting stuff

that should be good for approx. 999.98 rwhpj/k

KO3 (we want fast response!) JWT C3 (big cam = big power) Port the hell out of the head, polish it to a mirror shine (if it looks better it IS better)Meguires coated head, valves, ports, and pistons (recall how slick your wax job was!)30x20x5 Intercooler w/ 3.5" Inlet/Outlet (Maximum intercooling effect... yo)

Spool-up faster than your neighbors F350, pack more airflow than an F16.

264's--arent the typically yhe cam of choice on most setup regardless of how different they are. I see that cam choice much more than a 272/272 or a 256/256.The 256 ones dont offer much oomph-i think they are money better spent elsewhere. Overall, with a proper turbo--the 264's seem to be the most popular. Just dont get a turbo that dies right when the cam comes on--i.e.--the stock t25.
