Im planning on purchasing coilovers for my S13 which is my daily as well as weekend drifter. My budget is around $1000 but am willing to spend a little more if its really worth the extra money. Ive done my research an narrowed it down to 4 different coilovers, but I just need some more opinions on which is the best bang for the buck. Why you would reccomend them over the others?

kts and megan should not be compared to stance or apex'i...

although I have heard that the apex'i coils are almost identical to megans in look and performance...

Ive ridden in megans (streets), and they actually arent that bad in regards to ride quality and rebound... but the ride quality in stance shows.

its wierd, the spring rates of the stance and megans are very similar (iirc both 8/6), but stance's show more comfort (at least to me it did).

in conclusion... get some Zeal Function

Well do you think that the Stance are worth the extra $300-$400 compared to the MR? Oh an everyone thats had KTS said theyre a solid coilover, what makes you think they shouldnt be compared to the Stance?

LOL... I'm sorry I confused KTS with K-sport, haha... disregard what I said about KTS, I have no experience with them...

as far as spending the extra 300 for stance, of course! this isnt something that gets tossed away after like half a year... its expected to be permanent (unless blown or getting in an accident ofcourse)

I would go with the megan coilovers. I have them on and for the price I think there great. They take the abuse of the road every day.

Stance/ D2/ Ksport/ Megan(and I'm assuming PoweredbyMax will join the list) have similar damping as far as I've seen. Any differences are most likely due to varying N2 pressure which at least D2 uses to match damping values to springrates.

No one has gone so far as to prove one is different from the other, other than saying "my butt felt different on these." If you can't afford Konis and Ground Controls, or if you just plain want "bling" features, you can pretty much take your pick from the cheapo coilover brands.
