Should i go for the engine from heavythrottle wit just the engine and transmission for 2500 $ or the front clip for 2700$ from jarco. the front clip has more parts and an intercooler. I dont plan on doing the fmic right away. I just have 3000 $

Heaveythrottle is a great company and very reliable. But I always thought they were very pricey on there engines. there are great companys like zerolift.com or total-boost.com are very good companies with motors that are at least a 1000 less than heavythrottle.wherever you get an engine make sure harness,ecu,ignitor,and cas are there. You must expect something is missing or something is in bad shape like the oil pan. if not its not hard to find on these forums, tons of sr20dets are being parted out here on the forums.front clips to me are to much work. If your so worried about a smic there only a 100 bucks. lots of things off your 240sx is very useful. and there will be replacement parts getting a front clip too like clutch, downpipe,.'I think 3000 is a great price start off for an sr20det. I got around paying not even that much after my swap including lsd and fmic.good luck i am always willing to answer questions if you ever have one to get you started
