Weird. I only saw the one video, which was at higher speeds/loads, but I must admit that I stopped looking when I heard something that I thought sounded very much like your noise. Goes to show how much "fun" research can be when two people can find what appear to be different answers. Most of what I've read on the topic indicates that ping occurs under load, and the first place most folks started was with 91 octane gas. If you're using a lower octane, I'd begin by running a tank or two of 91 and seeing if that make any difference.
I've also read that a bad MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor can contribute to the problem. A bad MAF can cause the car to run lean. Once that happens, cylinder temps rise and cause pre-ignition. Seems a little strange on a car with 10k miles, but I s'pose it can happen.
I really hate to keep saying this, but I'm just not a pro on this topic. I want to help and I'll do what little I can, but please DO NOT take my word as gospel on this topic. I'd like to hear from someone else on this forum who can identify the problem with far more certainty than I.
