So the other day i polished my 3.5 RED 2008 coupe.. oh man it looked unreal.. sad thing is the whole detail took 10 hours.. so obviously i touched and saw every inch of the car.. There are chips scattered all over.. I never saw most of them probably cause i never looked that close. Now the hood on another hand u cant miss them from rocks debree or wateva. anyway I sware there are a few new ones from 2 days ago ughh Im startiung to think nissan has the cheapest paint that chips if a big bug hits the car and ur going faster then 40 lol

has anyone else noticed this??? does anyone hqave alot of chips?? how can i avoid this without leaving my car parked all day long

I have a lot as well on my front bumper and hood. Not the best paint, but certainly not the worst.

I've got two on the front and one on the back right now and I've been driving mine for a year!

Use some touch-up paint if the chips are small. Then when you're all done, buy a clear bra and wrap the front with it. Or have the dealer do it. I have some too, mainly on the bottom of the bumper. I can't afford the bra so when I do some serious driving like in the mountains or something, I spray the whole front of my car with plastidip and my side mirrors. Then peel it off by the end of the run :)

My bumper and lower part of my hood is covered in rock chips. The lower bumper is just torn up and shredded with scratches too. On 101, this a§§ was raging in front of me in the left lane, because the guy in front of him was going the speed limit. He couldn't pass on the right, so the idiot decides to pass him in the left shoulder. This kicked up a ton of rocks at me, and chipped my windshield. That got me so furious!

Don't bother with touch-up paint. It will leave bubbles of paint and make it look worse - I've tried. Fortunately the rock chips are not very noticeable unless up very close. There's no point in repainting it, because the rock chips will still show through a new paint job. The paint has to be stripped, then the body panels resurfaced, and painted again. It will probably cost as much as buying new panels.

I might just get a Stillen fascia and paint that instead.

I've personally never used it but I've seen many glowing reviews about this product....
