lol me and my friend were just talking about this last night while smoking hookah

he said something about Nissan has it locked and for someone to reprogram it they would have to "hack it" and have to pretty much do reverse engineering.... would be a pain in the ***..... my mom's 2007 Nissan Maxima, when you floor the gas all the way USUALLY it just skips all the RPMs and goes straight to redline and just sits there the whole time. with my car it has to build up to redline. if we could get a company to reprogram CVT i think it would make the car a lot faster. have it to when you hit the click thing (when you floor the gas all they), have it just skip all the RPMs and go to redline.... i know when i race at the track, my car doesnt hit redline till about 60 MPH and then i trap 99 MPH. so if we could get it to hit peak power sooner, it would help alot. plus tune it to keep the RPMs down when cruising on the hwy.... my exhaust is loudest between 2k and 3k RPM and hwy cruising the car sits at 2100 RPM. does anyone know of how we could reprogram the CVT transmission...... Stillen uhum speedforce racing uhum lol

It is quite impossible for the CVT to just "skip" all the RPMs and get to the redline. Even if it may be for a very slight instance, it needs to go through every RPM to get t othe top. Its like to get to 60 MPH, you gotta go 30,31,32 mph and so on. . .

This is an incredibly bad idea for the transmission in every way. Reprogramming a transmission this advanced would take an incredible amount of resources, which Im fairly certain no one has. As far as products for for the altima coupe, I highly doubt this will ever be one of them.

I wouldn't touch this transmissions electronics. If you want the engine to reach higher RPM's faster, you'd need a torque converter with a higher stall speed.
