Forget that, get a cheapo Willem programmer.. its less than half the cost and can do so much more.

many people sell them on ebay, the design's free so you could build one yourself if you want, or buy one of the many ones on ebay.. there's various models/options but pretty much any of them will burn our chips.. they're super cheap.

looks a good deal. what about the pocket romulators. is the $179 one the best to use?

That's the only one known to work with Live Edit. Realistically you could use any eprom emulator that supports the 27128 chips, but you'd have to work with hex code.

Unfortunately the pocket romulators apparently have problems with the way the CA ECU accesses the ROM.. supposedly it doesn't work right.

I know someone with one and it had to be modded slightly by the supplier but if you tell them it's for a nissan it works fine. slight difference with GM ecu I think is the issue
