well i got tired of waiting around for my hook up with the chip burner to help us out. so thurs night i bought one for myself. should be here monday or wens. now i just need a source for chips, any suggesttions. ?

who all wants to get a chip i can get you one that does basics and doesnt mess with the tune. one that removes speed and boost limiters for 50$ that will include the chip and one ZIF socket to use with it. the larger maf and injector chips will be out soon and cost around 50-100$ they will be up for sale soon as i test and tune them soem.

well guys give me some feed back on what you want to see Jon

How much did that run you Jon, and where did you get it? I think that would be a blast!

Xero, THAT IS THE COOLEST THING EVER!!! I've thought about it, but never ventured to try. Now I'm going to have to give it a shot! Have you done it? If so, lemme know.

I need to get rid of that damn fuel cut!!! Also some upgraded fuel curves and ignition. And maybe something to compensate for 93 octane horse-piss?

Some people that I know are using a chemical thats found in paint thinner. They said it can be easily found at Home Depot and kicks up the octane in gasoline to around 100.

The guy was testing it out in his CRX with the JDM B16 in it. I didnt see the car blow up or something bad like that so I guess this stuff works. I forgot the name of the chemical. I'll find out tomorrow though.

yea some crap like that. they said it was like 10 bucks for a gallon or so of it. whats the point when 104 is like 5 bucks a gallon.

toluene, I just put my third tank of it in yesterday, but because people have been "huffing" it in recent years, it has become regulated, and not available at home depot anymore, I had to go to Parker Paints to get mine, but the price can't be beat, $9 for a gallon, and I only use 1.3L a tank.

Whats the point is when you only use 1.3L to bump your octane level up to 98 on a 92 octane batch of fuel. it's still WAY cheaper than paying $50 to fill up, I only spend $20 from a bare tank up here in Seattle,

Burning chips with just a programmer is a bit hit and miss, I tried writing my own like that and its a waste of time, thats why I brought a rom emlulator and wideband probe, your just guessing otherwise.

Just be carefull mate, you don't want to blow yours or someone elses car up! :)

wasn't nissdata or someone over at freshalloy doing chips for CAs ?Are u doing it moreso for educational reasons ? The CA community is kinda small u know, and the SRs are pretty much covered.I'd try to work out something with the local florida burners or the UK guys.... they've already been where you're tryin to get... and your inexperience in that area, and in tuning, won't help much.444cc + z32 mafs will be the most popular package, but I'd probably shoot for DSM 450cc or RX7 turbo II 550cc, because they are readily available in the us.Bigger injectors + z32mafs + SAFC will get u past fuel cut. No ecu workYour little T25 will be screaming in pain, once u turn it up anyway. An adjustable boost referenced fuel pressure regulator can get u more fuel too, on oe 370s... hint; turn down the safc.Upgrade the turbo and you should already outflow the stock afm

i dont have an AFC nor will i use one . i have 440-500 injectors goin in, z32 sitting next to me, and a bigger turbo on my car.

we have an emulator , wideband, wideband dyno tuning acess and a few other chip tuners around to help us out.

this is mainly to learn to tune on SRs CAs, and other motors. selling a few chips will make up for buying some of the hardware to play with.

a chip is cheaper then buying an AFC to make a maf and injectors work. 600$ for ECU tune is a joke. .

try 50-100$ for chips .

the only thing that makes them exspensive is the money that goes into the hardware and dyno tuning sessions.emulators arnt cheap neither are wide band o2's

I don't know the price on emulators, but I was looking at wideband O2 sensors, and most run around the $1,000 range. Of course, it's not like the really go bad and they are an AWSOME tool to have when you are tuning.

Could you do a chip for my CA when i get it? I plan to run 444cc or 550cc injectors, Z32 MAF, Big T28 Turbo.

If i put your chip in, will my car run good? If all goes well that is.

Me want! Luckily we have 98oct.:D

@ slw240sx: I can send u the stock European basic binary, it's designed for 95oct fuel (other than that it's pretty much the same as the JDM chip, it even has the additional maps for the variable intake runner ;) )I know that they use this chip modification in South Afrika a lot on their JDM engines, cause they also got piss fuel.
