chiltons manual problem?

i just bought the chiltons manual and i am doin the 95 ka24de obd1 engine into my 90 ka24e obd1 engine bay. when i looked at the ecu pinout map, the manual says that the pinout guide is the exact same for years 89-92 but what i wanna know if this is correct since there is an exact cam and other differences between the d and e and i tried to search for it but not much luck

no... the chiltons as I found out pretty much SUCKS. I dont know if you have the one I have, but mine was like 240sx/Altima from 89-94... which doesnt make much sense as it is, but yeah... what you gotta do is look at the diagrams they have and then figure out which one matches your engine. A couple times I found out that what matched was actually the altima's FWD KA specs... Other times it was different diagrams that would match.. you never can tell till you compare.

My reccomendation is to take your chiltons, throw it in the trash, and go buy an actual Nissan service manual for the car. Thats what I did- got it on ebay for $50, and it's SO much better.

yeah, i have the same problem with that crap chilton manual, is there no other manul out there?i found that the instructions for replacing the fuel injectors are under the header 200sx, and not 240sx. When you look closely though. for the 240sx it has the engine as the ka24de and the 200 the ka24e, i have the E , and now i have alot of problems. I should charge chiltons for screwing up my engine.
