i got flat and i dont have the tool to remove the spare tire.and my road side assistance company cant help me cuz everyone is snowed it. is there anyway i can make my own to get down in there and loosen this thing up multiple ratchet extensions ? anyuone put together their own . any nico member in simsbury ct and want to help me out. ill pay for beer.

Should be a 21mm. Your truck doesn't have a tire iron under the back seat?

Oh, just realized you were talking about lowering the tire. As far as I know, it's usually a flat tip. The tools that operate the jack fit together to lower the tire.

the dbags i bouught it from forgot to put on in there for me. i know recall them saying that to me now when they dropped off the truck at my house. this was up in vermont , i ended up moving to ct right after that so i never got a chance to get one from them :frown: . ive put the word out now its more waiting.

What a terrible design. What idiot decided to place the release crank BEHIND the bumper? The one on my old Ranger was easily accessed from BELOW the bumper. Only vehicle I've ever had to change a flat on.

Most full size pickups have done this since forever. My friend's '68 GMC had it behind the bumper before we swapped a flatbed and solid steel bumper on it.
