Thank you for the reply. I've heard the Nissan rods are very strong. I didn't clarify... the rods were in the block already. The rebuild kit I bought didn't come with rods. it came with just abut everything else though. Now I worry this motor was built and the kit I bought won't work. I'm going to have to do some careful measuring. This motor was a junk yard motor that lasted a whole 15 laps in a race.
A friend says the chevy rods might be a little longer giving me more compression and torque at higher RPM's. Any ideas? thoughts? Possibilities? I'm fairly new at racing and definitely new at 240sx's. Last year I raced a 93 Honda civic dx front wheel drive. It was so slow compared to the 240sx it's not even funny. lol
