Hey everyone- my friends and I were planning on doing a car project together this summer (we're all pretty much gearheads), maybe dropping a chevy 350 (or something similar) into something else. Not sure which car to do it with though. Anybody have any suggestions for a model car/truck/jeep to choose? Something hopefully pretty cheap that we can pick up at a junkyard someplace or something, and that doesnt require MAJOR work to make the engine to fit (some work is OK though). Make it interesting- like a 4x4 jeep or (haha) a small block powered VW rabbit- whatever... just any cool ideas?

Go for a 2nd gen RX7. The rotor heads will hate you, but I have a friend with a chevy 400 in one of his RX7's. It is pretty quick when it runs.

go for a 78-82 chevy malibu, you can get them for cheap and they are good sleepers. A 454 will pretty much bolt in and you will have one fast car if ya do it right. Brett

I believe there are conversion kits made to drop a 350 in a 280z, or you can go with the 350 in a s10 thats always a plus but a ***** to drive when racing

350 in an old caprice, like an 85, around that time.

I used to own an 87 caprice, it was a very fun car, lots of room and alot of trunk space. The interior was like crushed velvet and by far the most comfortable car ive ever owned.
