Chevrolet SSR

Just looking through the new C&D and i see something that has a small block and a type R badge! WTG Chevy!

the "R" is there to signify Roadster and everyone knows SS is for super sport

Actually i think they are atrocious. I imagine it will be one of those love it or hate it deals, kinda like the new T-birds. It would be a lot better if the were not so damn heavy. 300hp and 0-60 in over 7 seconds? what a waste.

Yeah at first I was not too sure about it but the more I see it the more I like it.I hav not seen any real performance numbers on it though.

The T-Bird was a big let down for me as well.It should have a supercharger or something to give it the power to weight that it needs.

i read the article in this months C&D and IMO i think its ugly but to each his own. for having a v8 its pretty slow 0-60 in 7.0 sec and the 1/4mile in 15.4 the new se-r spec v isnt far behind. and to make it worse it costs $50k. if i wanted a 2dr convertible chevy i would just get a vette. i think its going to be a big flop

0-60 7.01/4 [email protected] with moderate understeer...

The new beetle GLX is ahead of it in every single category! This thing blows!

i dont understand y all the car companies r making these retro type cars (ex: SSR, PT cruiser, aztec) they r all ugly as shiot and nobody in the right mind would buy them. the only way they get their sales r to white rich women and girls who think they r "cute" and they need to find a way to blow 40k

oah and one more for the record... i definately wansn't endorsing the beetle or anything. Just sayin' that this thing sucks even more than a pretty sucky car

Prototypes/Concepts suck! They never make it into productionand they just build up unwanted hype. Sure they give ataste of what a company can do but it's a total ***** whenthe final product is nothing like the concept.

when i first saw that hting a ffew years back, i thought it looked like pure sh*t. and now i know it is. i cant stand the way that things looks. and yes, i hate concept cars too. most look like crap and they say they use the stuff on them in some production cars, but i have yet to see a production car look like any of that stuff.
