SO I have a couple threads here about my dang 1990 NA Z that is refusing to cooperate with me. This weekend I plan on going through the PTU harness, back to the ECU. Im wondering how to accomplish this. I want to check to breaks in the wires all the way back. I checked the ECU Pinout and the ECU pins are 123 and 11 12 13. My plan is to get piece of wire and put a female spade terminal on it. Put that on the PTU connector and run it back into my car and attach that to lead from my DMM. then pop off the ECU connector and using the other probe, probe the 6 ECU pins with the meter set to resistance. Im hoping any breaks will show with an off reading.

Is this the best way? Is there a better way?

Is there a connector somewhere between the ECU and the PTU that I should check for corrosion? I know there is one for the Injectors...

Well I took my ECU harness off the computer, stuck a wire in the slit of each wire that leads to the PTU and checked OHMS at the PTU plug. 0.4 on each wire. So I have good wires from the PTU back to the computer. Put everything back together to run the motor and heat it up incase heat affected anything, and now the two middle cylinders arent firing. Ill pull coils and plugs later to check for spark.

Im sure my injectors need replacing.. It is just Do I want to drop 600 on a full set of injectors right now? last time I ran the car all 6 cylinders worked fine, but it had the running issue. I dont know.. Im just frustrated with this damn car.
