Was wondering besides the obvious things im looking for anything specific too look out for?

Like anything that's a clear giveaway he got to the end of rebuilding and blew it again?

and one thing that I saw as kind of weird was that he honed the cylinders but didn't bore them.
is there any logical reason one would do this? other then the honing machine being cheaper so in his half established shop he just honed it?

basically would I have to now go back and bore, then re-hone it again?

I'm asking because when I bought the 240 I bring a guy with me, we look it over, and I point out (2 years ago no knowledge) "the green liquid on the biggest metal part of the engine".

2 weeks later, my car says oil low on delivery,
2 hours later it ran so hot it broke (no idea what yet as heads still on)

2 years later I realize the "green stuff on the big metal thing" was engine coolant leaking from the block,

if all he said was "s*** that's engine coolant, don't run that too hot till you fix it" these past 2 years would be avoidable.

so yeah,
do that now and tell me what to look for so I don't tack on another year from an easy thing I spotted without any engine knowledge.
