Checking injector resistance 1990 q45

I am having trouble removing the connector for the injector harness. Can anyone help me understand how to release the it. Thanks. Michael

It helps to pull it off the metal tab while still connected first then you can hold a connector half in each hand while you wiggle it apart. It will pull off the metal tab if you pull hard enough. Brace your hand so you don't pull back too far and end up with a bundle of injector connectors. :biggrin:

As goody mentioned, the metal clip fits through a groove in the connector. I use an old professional grade dental pick to pull up the edge of the clip on one end, c*** the connector to one side, and then pull the other end up. This usually lets me get the connector off with the metal clip in place. If that doesn't work, you can use a small screwdriver or pick to pry the back end of the clip up out of it's retainer, but I find that I break the connector more often that way. If your harness is anything like most I've dealt with it's pretty brittle.
