That is amazingly awesome info, never read that before, thanks.. Does that just put it into diagnostic mode, then when you're thru short them again to clear codes & put it back to run mode?bluefire wrote:Hook up the CEL wire. Then short the CHK and IGN ecu pins for 2 seconds and release. The CEL will now blink the code
Never read the RB25 sections of the FSM, good info right there. My buddy's S2 has a black plastic CAS iirc, can't remember exactly but I don't think it's the metal one.eh? wrote:Just curious, what color is your cas?The procedure for the pin jumping is in the FSM, pages EN-294-298. Doesn't see why you can't jump the pins directly at the ECU harness.
The last S2 RB25's also had the black CAS. I think I have an early S2 ecu here, it has the screw but no light.silviasgp06 wrote:mello88: if the cas is plastic then the motor is the R34 rb25det. lev, solid lifters, gtr rods, and then some, if i recall.
eh: my S2 doesnt have a screw or light on it either. not sure if the consult was wired in correctly but i plan on checking on it soon.
Dude its so easy to check codes. If you didn't wire in the consult plug don't even worry about it. Just find the "CHK" pin and "IGN" pin, take a piece of wire and connect them for two seconds with ignition on. If you did it correctly, you cel will flash any codes you might be throwing.lilskyline240 wrote:i wish i had my consult wired in but its not so i think ima have to wire one in so i can run my codes
No just take a paper clip and jump the wires at the back of the ecu harness. Just take off the plastic cover.lilskyline240 wrote:dont i have to expose the wire to do that?
