Is it possible to build the checker box( the thing to read out the ECU via plug & play)? Does someone has instructions or a link how to built it yourself(it can't be that hard to built it's just two LED's and a switch)? I know the ECU self diagnosis can be done without it, but it would be easier for a quick readout.

I checked out FAQ but there's only the installation of the Apexi check Box, i meant instructions to built the Nissan checker box which is used by Nissan dealers to read out the ECU.

yea i knew what you were talking about, its just that, that would be the best place to look. If i'm correct don't you have to turn that screw on the ecu to read the fault codes and reset it. So you would still have to pull the ecu out everytime anyways. I fail to see the point in it. Just read the leds on the ecu while your down there.

With the Nissan check box u don't have to pull the ECU, u are able to do the switching and resetting from the box that's why i asked about it (no more crawling in the passenger department).
