After a few weeks of searching and speaking to tons of dealers, I've finally found a dealer in a major city in eastern Alabama that was able to help with getting some information on my V. What's the name of the dealership? That's what I can't give out. Part of our agreement was that I wouldn't release the dealer name or person who did it for me to prevent a rush of people contacting them via email about the status of their order. But that's not the point of the topic. Attached you'll find the print out that I received for my car. It shows all the information for my vehicle including order and VIN number. Rail dates, ship dates, current status, everything. If your dealer acts like he doesn't know what happened to your vehicle or he doesn't know where it's located, this is proof that they should know. This dealer all the way in Alabama was able to check on a sale in Houston, TX. Since the dealer site is a North American site, the Canadians should be able to check with US dealers but I'm not sure of this. There are THOUSANDS of honest hard working Nissan dealers all across the country and at least a few near you. There should be no reason why you should work with a dealer that doesn't want to work with you. Your dealer may not give you the print out, but they shouldn't act like they don't know what's going on.

As a side note, I'm glad I got this document. It looks like the dealer threw in some splash guards even though I told him I didn't want them (didn't want to pay for them). I already have a contract at 14k even so it's a bonus for me . I've edited the important bit to help protect my car.

You said you didn't want to mention the dealer, but you left that information in your print out. You may want to take that out...

I think he means he doesn't want to give out the name of the Alabama dealer who provided him the info. The info on the print out appears to be for his own dealer in Texas....

Yea that's the important part for those who are being told, "I don't know where your car could be". That section will show you what dealership Nissan shipped the car to. So even if the car was shipped to another dealership by mistake, the dealer can tell you that it was shipped here by accident. Then give Nissan a call to make it right.

I found that week of the 22nd thing strange. The 22nd turns out to be a Friday. Maybe the week begins on Fridays for Nissan

My dealer originally told me that my car would be here on the week of 12/15, which is also a Friday. I thought it was weird, too.

so i went to the dealer today but i didn't talk to the salesman i only talked to the guy who actually order cars. he showed me all the information and he said he gave those information to my salesman and he should have emailed it to me. i didn't recevie any email and when i asked my salesman he said he didn't know when it will come. so obviously he was lying...... i just don't understand y would he lie. but after all i know it's coming in 2 weeks that's the most important YESSSSSSSS

The same thing happened to me. My sales guy was completely in the dark. When I called him with the information about the print out he was very surprised that I had info.l He actually asked me what was the date it was supposed to be delivered. He also asked me if I was sure that the car was completed. He asked me a lot of question and it was beginning to sound like he's never seen a report like this before. It didn't seem like he was playing dumb, I think the sales manager hasn't let him know anything but "Tell them it will be here soon". He's a pretty new guy, so I would see why the sales manager wouldn't want him to have any info besides for what he tells him. My sales manager also claimed that he passes the info to the sales guy and he should let me know. Someone's not being truthful.

Alot of times especially with new salespeople the "less is more" philosophy is taken by salesmanagers. Meaning the less this new guy knows the less likely it will be that he can mess up the deal. It is nothing personal against the person but new people tend to talk themselves out of a car deal rather than allowing the deal to take shape on its own.

There is also a ton of information that you have to absorb and learn when you are new to the business. It takes quite awhile before you can get to the point where you even begin to understand the complex bueracracy of ordering...

I stopped by the dealership that I ordered my Versa thru to check on it's status on 11/30. I decided to stop in because I last heard from the sales manager on 11/9, and he told me then that it should be in 'end of november or first week of December'.

When I stopped in, he showed me a printout. It was not formatted the same as what you show. The printout he had was a lenghty list, and 1 vehicle was listed on each line of the report. It had the model, along with abbreviations for the options on that car. The list was a report of all the cars that dealership had on order or allocation, and was what they use as reference to know what was on order or due in soon.

Anyways, the report he was showing me was 2 days old, dated 11/28. He said that back when he called me on 11/9, my scheduled arrival date was 12/1 (A Friday). That newest report showed the delivery was pushed back 1 week to 12/8.

So, I think you're definately onto something with the Friday dates that Nissan uses for delivery estimates. So, now I'm excited as all get out counting down the days till I get my V :-)
