some guy from another forum...on stock bottom end

A few weeks ago I posted up some pictures of my newest KA24DE-T setup running the SR ECU with a coil on plug setup. Last Thursday we dyno'd this newest setup at 20psi with these results:

442 whp / 409 wtq - Plot got deleted from dyno due to slipping clutch

433 whp / 409 wtq - Plot below.

That's got to be B.S. What makes his pistons any different than the ones in our blocks? Ivan pushed the cars hard and at 400rwhp the pisotns ring landings gave away. This guy is pushing 450...and nothing? Altough does he have meth/water injection? If he doens't melt his pistons within 2 weeks I want to know why.... Well guess we will see how long it last. Pistons want to give at 400 andd fiz and a few other under 430rwhp have had the rods go bad. So let's see how long this thing last.

ugly but impressive.i can believe it. just because ivan only did that with one car doesn't mean he can't do better with a different one. sometimes you just get lucky. i don't know that ivan has tried to break his own record though... he seemed more interested in tuning the completely built setup and showcasing his products and results, which makes perfect sense to me.

haha i don't think anyone ever said it would last though. but we'll see i guess.

pistons will melt when somthing is wrong. detonation, ping, knock, ect. a well tuned car wont do any of that and will run at the proper temprature. so there is no real reason why he cant push more than what people have done in the past on not properly tuned cars.

Nice man, but you are asking for some serious trouble shifting at 7500 rpm with the stock valve train and stock rods. The stock rods can NOT handle that kind of power at that speed...

My rod blew a hole through my block at 16 psi and 3500 rpm. you've been warned.

Also, it sounds like someone's riding the clutch hardcore in that video...

Duh, didn't read that my bad.

In any case, this dude's engine is not going to last long, at all.

SR parts are just naturally superior, so of course it runs fine on stock block

Wire it in.

You could run about any 4-cyl. ECU in your car if you try hard enough.

Hell I bet you could make a Honda P28 ECU work and convert over to MAP, you'd have to get Hondata to retrim the maps.
