define "works well" it will close off your exhuast system as advertised but is that what you want?

I believe they intend it to be used as an electronic cutout.

Well, I know what it is designed to do, but I'm just not sure how adjustable that flanges is. It's controlled by a small motor and it seems like it would be 100% open or 90% closed; no in between setting. Has anyone else noticed that nobody uses the semi-colon anymore? Was it been phased out when wan't looking?

I'd wonder if that motor was up to the task of being near all that heat for sustained periods.

actually guys what that really is

when it's fully closed the exhaust gasses pass though the cat and then muffler for normal dail driving... On a race day you fully open it and gasses escape before the cats downpipe straight out to atmosphere.....anyone can do it for about 50 bucks of materials!

negative. That is supposed to be dropped into the muffler tract to quiet the exhuast. They started coming out in Japan when the cops began cracking down on muffler DB levels. It does not seal fully when shut so could not really be used as a cutout unless you can tolerate a constant exhuast leak.

It's not a diverter, it's an inline butterfly valve. It's strictly there to reduce the exhaust levels.

yeah, what a jip to put that price on the item and then charge you $175 to ship it.

so it's actually $185.99 to ship. And it mentions a good mod with test pipe, why ever do they mean...

I know a few guys in NZ with a similar debice. The cops are cracking down on noisy cars. If they think you noisy, they pull you over and make you rev your car up with a noise probe thingy a couple of metres away from the car.

You just flick the switch and presto, your car will only rev to 3-4k and will sound pretty quiet. Enough to pass the test and drive away anyway

better than when you get pulled over on I-95 north with Florida plates. They make you bend over and hum while they, and the probe, uh it`s just too awful!

Hey Mad, I haven't been pulled over yet. But how do you know about the probe thing? Does it hurt? Did they use lubricant?

they offered it but I said "give it to me dry, I`m a taxpayer I`m used to it"!

I don`t know about the other states but VA cops get a hardon for Florida-plated cars.
