So I noticed that if I drive @ 40 miles, the motor makes a ticking noise. I took it to the dealership and they couldn't find the problem. I'm certain they let the car cool down and didn't drive the 40 miles, so they couldn't duplicate the problem.

It then started to do it after shorter trips, @ 5 miles. I took it back to the dealership. They called the next day and said I need a new short block. It is an 06 5AT with only 30k miles. Wierd huh.

This TSB now applies to the G35 also! All the dealers should now have it?

As you read note that on page 5 the TSB states "if there are any unusual noises, replace the long block...." Be sure to query your dealer on this.
