seems like a great idea, get ride of the B pillars and side impact beams, and wait until a hummer hits you.

Interesting concept, but I'm not so sure about safe.

is it just me, or did they not show how to close it after you climbed out??maybe remote??or were all those people too rich to even push a button to close their own doors.AND in the last clip the car drove off with the door open, then slowed down for it to close. what if there was a kid in the passanger side??? cool concept but the safety bugs still need to be worked out.

what happens when you get tints on your car...the window rolls down when the door is opening....and i feel bad for the guy that has to tint that..he has to stay in the car with the door closed..prob be better just to take the window off to tint it

"Automobiles today still use the same door principles as demonstrated by this 19th-century Benz coupe. Mainly, two hinges on the leading edge, one latch on the trailing edge, and no means of structural re-integration with the body frame."

Oh noes, the concept of a door hasn't changed, so we must change it immediately!

Lots of other things are the same, too. Heck, our 21st century designs still use primitive wheels! Quick, let's get rid of those too!

Why the hell did they do the modification on a crappy early 90's Lincoln?

In any event, you guys can say what you want but you know good & damn well if that was on a killer looking ride & they pulled up to park beside you & the door went away like some James Bond sh*t, you'd go bananas, despite trying to sound cool on an online forum.

Safety? Like our little-as$ pillar in our unibody R50 would be able to stand up to an H2 t-boning us at 45+ MPH. You know what will happen even with our silly little "pillar" right?... we'll die!
