I just bought this 2+2 280zx turbo. I bought it off this guy that hasent drove it for years. The car has rust all over it. Dent on the fender from a flying plexiglass. It needs new floor boards and some rust holes to be tooking care of. The engine actually started right up, With a little bit oil in the plugs and bang its started with no probs. The rims are actually going to the 240sx.My dad wants it but i know he will be giving up on it. So it might go u for sale. Since i dont have money and im working on my s13. Any ways here it check it out. And does anyone know where i can get parts?Thanks

By the way, anyone know how to take out that lug nut that keeps people from stealing the rims ? Its on the pic. I dont have the lug thing. Any hel would be great thanks

haha yeah, I have been looking for a set for a LONG time.

as for the lug nut, check the local parts store, chances are they're just a cheapo set that uses a generic tool, they might have them in their lug sets.

the short shank "mag lug nuts" in the 12x1.25 are getting hard to find, be sure you buy the short ones the long ones will bottom out

and yeah the chassis looks rough, I'd keep and eye out for a better S30 or S130 chassis to swap the turbo over and hopefully loose the auto transmission

Actually the rails are in really good condition. Body is what makes it look worse than it is. Its manual by the way haha. Since the car is in my dads hands. Sorry 240sx the rims are going in the red little booger in front of the car. Engine bay is actually really clean too no rust. Found floor pans and quarter panels for a really good price price. By the way Z32 did u get my e mail with the pics of the center caps?

The 83 came with a digital dash if you wanted the leather interior. Most people have swapped them to the 78-79 analog because the tach is pretty much useless and the speedo only goes to 85.

working digital dash's in S13's and Z31 area bit of a comodity, and a lot have been replaced with analog counterparts, the technology was fine it just wasn't meant to last for 20 or 30 years

Your right on that one. The guges do not work. I was hoping it was a fuse, but nope. Which sucks.
