It came with my CA18DET Motorset from JHOT. Seems interesting enough.

It seems to be the same specs as a SR20 turbo, reading A/R .80 on the front cover. Yet it doesn't have the flange on the inlet.

A buddy told me that it was a European CA18DET turbo, does this sound correct?

Yes, but does a standard CA18DET turbo say A/R 80 on the front??

Yea, I think the standard compressor housing is .60. That is weird...

I could've sworn my stock CA turbo was like a .45 a/r on the compressor. Oh well, I'll check when I get home.

Is there a way I can tell if it is the 8port o r 4port without actually removing the intake manifold??

Out of curiosity I went and checked mine and it says A/R .48. I was always under the impression the stock CA turbo was .48, then again I've only had my engine for a month now.

Just look at the submanifold, on an 8 port you can see the split to 8 ports.
