This is pretty scary, one of my friends referred this to me... it's like a Freddy Vs. Jason type torture machine inside...

Quote »"This 3rd Gen Maxima runs, and drives""The turbo(s) are running parrallel pushing 8 psi""I plan on making a heat shield/ explosion guard that will seperate me and them somewhat. I know they are going to get very hot, but I don't plan on having this be a traveling vahicle. I already have earplugs, I think I will hear them spool plenty. Even over the sound of the exhaust."
Interesting to say the least... I say he rig up a skillet atop the turbos and sell bacon and eggs and/or dogs and burgers to pay for fuel.

Apparently, this enterprising engineer hasn't died yet.

Great idea!

Would I drive it?

Hell no! I enjoy life too much to risk it in that trap.

I can't wait til Chris sees this, he's gonna flip out.

That is a very sketchy setup to say the least. That is a car i dont think i would drive due to the way everything was ran.

If you read through the forum you'll see the car eventually caught on fire, lol.

But anyways i've spent almost a hour looking at that turbo setup and I still have no idea how it works based on the routing, the intercooler obviously doesn't work but how does everything else work? And why go 3' back from the turbos when he only has 2' coming from the headers?

Probably just wasn't hooked up in that picture.

Quote »And why go 3' back from the turbos when he only has 2' coming from the headers?
The exhaust manifold and piping will always be smaller than the final pipe size, especially on a turbo setup. If they were much bigger the turbos would spool much slower and it probably would make less power.
