I'm curious to know, what is it about the Q clocks that make them die?

Mine has never worked, and I noticed a lot of people tend to look for replacements, so I assume it's a common fault....

Probably should find one for myself before I replace the gauge cluster with LEDs, so I can replace the clock at the same time......

My clock froze to death shortly after I brought the car to Canada. The battery died one day and when I went to adjust the clock after giving the car a boost, one of the clock hands moved while the other started to and then stopped in the wrong spot. So when the time was 12;00 o'clock, the small hand was pointing in between the 12 and 1. When I finally took out the clock, I manually used my fingures to adjust the small hand the clock has continued to work perfectly ever since. I have found that my clock has been very reliable. I wonder what the problem with your clock is?

one of the reasons car makers switched to digital in the late 70`s-no moving parts! temp extremes,vibrations,jarring,dust etc are a tough environment for a low torque small clock motor to live with {ps-mine still keeps accurate time at 189,335 miles}

How many 17yo watches do you still have working?

I've got so many clocks laying around, I can't tell good from bad anymore. I'd have to plug em in just to find out. LOL

I do have a gold one from a 94 which works. Have thought of removing the gold face/window and installing my black on it. Something classy bout that gold clock.

Anyone wanna buy it?

Hey what do you guys think about the black face (the part with the four screws) from the 1990-1992 Q45 clock on a gold and white 1993-1996 Q45 clock?

May look great in a 1990-1992 Q45 interior.
