I will come out and say I don't know too much about car modding and such but it seemed that the fender gap on this car is too much compare to the other cars i've seen with new wheels. Is he using the wrong sized tires or something?

Does look a little gapped. At first sight, my guess would be 18's with 35 Profiles on them. But, it's really hard to tell from a picture. My sig picture is 19's with 245/35 on them, the gap is closer to what most would want, but even then, i'm probably going down an inch in the near future.

Yeah, the tires are way too short. My wheels are 18x8 running on 45's and that still .3 inches short. Like WH said, this guys wheels look like 18's, but probably on 35's. He looks at least an inch short!

I actually love the color, tint, wheels combo, it was the combo with the exact same wheels I was considering, until I saw the code red paint up close. It does not have the glitter effect that the other paint jobs have, it has more of a matte look.

In any case, you guys are spot on, his tires are wayyy too small, they actually look like 30's, no offfense, but some folks have no idea what size tires to get to PROPERLY make up for getting larger rims... (no one on this forum)...

generic, you can't get any closer to factory specs than you did with your wheel/tire combo! Everyone else has been pretty dead on also...

but if those are 225/30, then the tires are 23.3", if 225/40, 24.2"... with 225 tires, 225/45 will give you close to factory specs (which is what I'm guessing generic is running)... in any case, if the guy in the picture is running 225's, then his tires are either 3 inches or 2 inches too small. Perhaps he's running 235's, or 245's, if so, then a 30 or 35 load index will be closer to factory specs, to be exact...

STOCK = 26.3"

235/30 = 23.5235/35= 24.47235/40= 25.4

245/30= 23.78245/35= 24.75245/40= 25.7

Ok, after doing the math, I just think he (and anyone else considering getting 18's) should just get 225,235, or 245 / 45 profile tires. Anything else may LOOK ok after a 1" - 2" drop, but performance will be sacrificed and you tires will over-rotate ALOT and you're gonna put more miles on your odometer then you actually have. Lesson learned today.... don't sacrifice ride quality and odometer readings for a nice looking car! I've done the math for you, now go and get a NICE set of aftermarket wheels that actually fit! I think someone else said it on this forum a while back... whatever you do to the A/C should enhance the car, not diminish it!

Yup, I'm on 225/45/18's

If you're going 18's, 235/45/18 would be the ideal choice. Unfortunately, your tire selection at this size is VERY limited being that it is kind of a odd size. That's why I ended up on 45's.

Generic,

Yeah, if you decide to do with a wider tire, you're right, 235/45/18 is exactly to factory specs 26.3"... I've tried every other size and I don't think anything else will get you to 26.3" diameter...
