What is the point of that plate?

You could easily design that thing in solidworks, and have it done with a cnc machine.

Seriously, find somebody who knows how to use solidworks, and then send/bring the file to sombody that has access to a cnc machine, and get it cut out.

I think he was talking about what he used for egr blockoff plate.

I can do solidworks, but you have to know the dimensions and ****.

Is it necessary to block it off? I was just going to disable mine and leave it stay closed.

I think that manifold belongs to boostinfested he is on some of the 240 forums. I remember seeing a pic he posted.

I don't know, but I am at the same point where I could use one. I was thinking about jacking up the engine on the driver's side, and changing the location of the mounts, if it would work. Seems like it would be easiest. But if I could find a plate like that, and it were affordable and would keep me from having to do filing, I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Can I fit an external wastegate to that adapter?

you might be able to kill two birds with one stone. You could get an adapter box for the WG, an that should give you the clearance you need.

The WG bolts to the side of the mani, below the adaptor.

This is what I was talking about. This will allow you ro run an external wastegate and it should give you the same clearance that plate will, possibly more. looks good and its inexpensive.

chezedik:Im sure there is a way to block off the WG or weld it up.

There is, I have a block-off for it that came with my manifold, along with a shim. If no one makes this thing, then I will just adjust my motor mounts to make it work. Seems easier that way.

The ebay adapter is to convert from a CT20 to a T3/T4. Not just to use as an extension.
