Gasonline to get all the oil, debri, build up using toothbrush. Then painted the block with aluminum paint. Paint is actually conductive, it's like aluminum in a can...lol. I used steel brush/polisher to polished the little things, like ac compressor, alternator, etc, intake manifold. Thanks all for the complement. I will post picture of the engine bay in a couple days.

thats weird though, i have a 89' also and my throttle cable isnt nearly that short, it just crosses over the back of the valve cover

clean.. yeh the sohc throttle cable is shorter than the dohc... i need to get a dohc throttle cable also...
