So today I avoided a car accident but my car went over a sharp curb ....The damage from what I can see isn't bad however the car pulls a little to the right now and when I turn the wheel right and turn I hear it rub a little.. (It didn't before despite my cars low stance)...Anyways I wanted to post pics for your opinions and assesment of the suspension...KEEP IN MIND:1) It was the front passenger side2)My wheel was cut all the way to the right during the pics3) I took the pics quickly so quality isn't the best.....

thats all I could take for now...What do you guys think? am I good? Alignment and raise it a little on that side? thanks for the help....

Everything looks ok in your pics I think. What you need to look at is the tie rod on that side. They're pretty weak so i think any curb action will bend them. I'd get some new ones. I barely hit a curb once after some ice came out of nowhere and I bent the tie rod, LCA, and tension rod.

alignment will show you whats out of spec. My guess would be your caster is out, possible bent tension rod or maybe control arm. You should probably fix that rusty frame too btw.

I was guessing caster as well. Probably smashed the bushing in your front tension arm a bit, and also could have smashed the tie rod like the above poster said. Looks just dandy though, could have been way worse!

btw where'd you get those brake rotors? i like

Yes those are 19s (19X11 in the back)...and excuse the dirtiness. I don't have time to clean it often....I plan on getting it aligned soon I just don't want to have to replace anything unless its really necessary.... money isn't easy at 17 lol...I also plan on doing an intro thread..so you guys will see the results there i guess.......BTW how do I go about cleaning under the car like that..any recommended products??? Thanx for the answers BTW.....I think I'm gonna take more pics of the tie rods and look at them closely for any warping...

Sorry for bringing this thread back but I need a little help.....I figure that since I'm going to get it aligned I'm going to go ahead and raise the front a little bit in order to avoid messing up my lip anymore....problem is that I dont know how....I have a pic of my coil here and I don't know which ring to mess with or which way to turn it..also I hear rubber gloves are the way to go right? is there a special tool?

Well I was bored so I went outside and took a picture of mine for reference:

Here I'll just make an example scenario for adjusting the height. Lets say you wanted to lower it more, what you would do is take the spanner wrench if you have them, and break lowest collar loose. Then you would spin that collar up some (to get it out of the way), and then you would spin the actual strut assembly piece and turn it up to go higher. But that is to lower your car.

To raise it, you just do the opposite. You spin the strut assembly so it goes down. Although in your pictures I don't see the collar to lock in the ride height. So all you should have to do is loosen the strut tower bolts, then unbolt the two on bottom, and spin that piece down. It's as simple as that.Hope this helped.
