Hard to tell from the picture... Blue Onyx or Sapphire Blue?

Heh... Roady2. That's what we've got in the wife's Tucson, though not wired very pretty at all. It's getting old and starting to go, though, so it will be time for a replacement coming up here soon.

tee hee - you're right. I was going to say, "But I was stopped at a light when I took the picture!" and I just looked at it again - and I wasn't!

It is Sapphire - the Onyx is similar to a navy, right? I really wanted silver, but this was the only one on the lot that had what I wanted. It's growing on me, though. I was hoping for green/sage/forest green - why is that color so hard to find?

the Blue Onyx is the darker one. I've got Blue Onyx, Kimber has Sapphire Blue.

Greens do seem to be pretty rare. They show up in cycles. When other colors fall out of favor, it comes back into favor. I remember it being pretty popular in the early 80's.

Nice looking. Care to share how you wired it or point me in the direction or some tips. I was planning on getting an addon HD Radio reciever and would like to stick it in the same spot.

Here's one bit of advice I can give you: Check the length of the power cable they give you. My Helix's power cable isn't even 4' long, so I was REALLY limited as to where I could put it.

I wish I could say I did this myself - but it was done at Circuit City. They suggested the placement, and I thought it sounded great. I was practically tripping over the xm wires in my escort.

One big advantage that didn't dawn on me until later - the passenger can't change the channel!

Edit: Ever Vic - no wonder I love that color - I am definitely an '80's girl at heart!

I have my GPS unit at around the same position as your XM unit. I found it blocked the vent that blows air to the driver's door window and would not be able to defog easily.
