Sounds unique, but your car will be much heavier with it. Prepare to be slower.

Do they have some kind of lifetime warranty on that sunroof? i remember when i was looking for an s13 (before i found mine) i test drove a pig-nose s13 fastback with an aftermarket pop-up roof, the headliner was sagging, the roof leaked, and the seals and general workmanship was crappy at best. With the owners selling it saying to me: "it was installed at nissan"...

yeah right.

yeah when cars come from the crate carrier msot dont have sunroofs and some optional accesories. the dealership pays for a place to do it and some of those places rather suck due to low cost to put in. its good for a few years than after a few years needs to be replaced thats how dealrships make a lot of money. not shoddy stuff just not very long lasting materials. such as many of the new honda's sunroofs. but yeah mine is being done with 100$ worth of weather stripping. its a very professional place. the owner has a dodge viper and a porsche carrera and a nissan 350z. many of his workers also drive 50k+ cars they have been in business for 20 years and they have done I think it was almost 650 sunroof installs. he said with the weather stripping it should last up to 10 years w/o a garage in a place liek seattle where rains 2 times a week. and if you garage it and you are in a palce were it only sees rain a few times a month prob 20 years

I got the sunroof 17"x35" off JCwhitney for 250$ w/ a gift certificate

I really don't like putting sunroofs in cars that don't come with them. My friends has a 89 coupe that has a sunroof put in it. If he goes up a curb wrong and the chasis flexs too much it will crack the sunroof. He has had to replace 4 under the factory waranty and the last one his warantee ran out so he had to pay for it. He is accually concidering welding in a piece of sheet metal this winter. This is just a heads up.
