wow first you need way more than 3 seconds worth of video to give any real advice haha

second, go to an event. you will learn 100x more with actual seat time than people on the internet giving you advice. screwing around in a parking lot will only teach you so much.

try and initiate sooner. like kamin said, you need seat time were you can watch and get outside advice. if you cant get people to help you at the event, tape it them post it up. and its always good to have video because you can over look everything from a 3rd person view.

the third videos the best even though you spun out just cuz you had more angle... you are not letting the back end swing out enough let it go eventually you will get the feel for the right amount of throtle... maybe try kickin the clutch a little sooner too

I think he means the angle... let it go would mean let the rear slide out MORE. cant explain but you will know when you do it.

the biggest mistake people make when learning is trying to steer the car with their hands and arms

i know that sounds strange, but one day youll learn to use the throttle to control the drift once you are sideways. GETTING there takes your hands, but once out you use very little hand/arm inputs, just for line corrections and such.

fvckin when I figured that out it became much easier...

as tarded as this sounds watch drift bible...let the car go till you KNOW its sliding then its just throttle..

is kamin our own dk or what

well thats gonna depend..... 90% of the time my steering wheel will almost counter itself, from that I just give it the rest. man we can tell you anything you wanna hear but it doesnt matter, seat time... = key

looks like you have enough balls to get on it, so i'd say get a set of coilovers and 2 way, especailly some tension rods and then you'll be ready to rock it out a little harder. once you get the setup right, then it'll counter steer alot easier. atleast mine did.....

until then, when you pop that clutch, don't be affraid to let go of the wheel, like they were saying, the car will counter for you, you do need to pursuade it to counter sometimes, so you'll need to litterally throw the steering wheel around. you throw it hard to the counter steering direction and then re grab it and work it around. it's kinda confusing but watch an onboard with a pro and watch him throw the wheel around.

here's a great video of Ueo in his hatchi, it's got a great setup under it, but watch very closely as he works that steering wheel, throwing it left to right, you'll want to practice this whenever you can, even parking my car i'll do that haha.

hope this helps out some, i know that was my big thing that i had troubles with, it wasn't countering early, it was keeping up with the speed of the wheel.

and what he said right above, get seat time, true that man.

Its a drive for you but:http://ncda.lazypenguin.net/events.html

I will be there for sure. NorCal Events do not come around that often.

Also on June 9th and 10th of this month there will be a "slidewize" drifting event. Thats just a small cone course, but its better than what you have in that lot. That is also at Thunder Hill as well. But you have to have some kind of LSD to enter

Keep in mind, the NCDA event on July 5th will be way better cuz we'll be on the track as well as a cone course.
