I went to the local junkyard looking for a J30 and 300 Diff. Come to find out they had one from a 95 240sx that they have had for awile, the guy said they were about to get rid of it. It had the orange viscous sticker and it spun both outputs in the same direction. Has anybody ever swapped a diff from an S14 into a S13. What all modifications will I need to make.Thanks!!!

Here is the best part it was pulled from a 95 240sx with only 3200 miles, it also has the vin number.

Last I checked, internals are the same, except that the s13/180SX uses four (4) bolts instead of the the two (2) the s14 uses to mount on the rear cover. Check to see if covers can be swapped out and the output flanges.

Does anybody know the correct bolt size i will need. Should any hardware store have them.Thanks!!

You could use the same bolts that are on your current diff cover.Most hardware stores should have the 14mm x 1.25 thread bolts you need. Just make sure they are GRADE 8.8 or higher (12.2 preferable).
