I'm glad you like your JICs too. I have them in my bunky, and i absolutely love them, and will not give them up. Have you thought about sway bars yet ? I have a gtr rear one in mine, and it's a good balanace and easy upgrade to the car. Next will be the front one.

Yeah, the FD is one of the sexiest cars ever. Hands down. But my loyalty lies with the FC. I would like a N/A PP 20B FC for time attack and a single T78 bridge port 20B FD for wangan. Hells yeah.

I didn't reailize how popular the rotary was in PR until I met my boy Jaime. He came from PR and has owned like 7 RXs. Nuts.

Hey Ryan, if this thread is just too post whorish, and you think we are using bandwidth for no purpose, by all means...lock away. It is nice to chat about random crap with you guys from time to time though Gen Chat has too many n00bs and morons. LOL

QUICK RETURN TO POINT OF THE THREAD: New sensor works a charm. No odd overheats yet.

Yes im am definatly looking into maybe a hicas or gtr rear sway bar but for the front im staying stock. I'm not sure what you plan to do with your car but if your going to drift i would leave it stock. I've heard a bigger sway up front you'll get alot of understeer and tire scrub.

I browse gen chat, but don't post there often unless I get in just the right mood...

Far less drama here, and we have better engines anyway

Stupid effing gauge went over H again. I just watched it climb. No issue, hard run 1 through 4, decel and turn on a 30mph road. No drama for about 5 minutes after I gave it hell and it goofs again. After going over H, the gauge sat there at full sweep for about a minute, then dropped quick back down to 3/4 (normal position for me at NOT) Argh. Thermostat issue maybe? I have a new colder one in the mail, so we shall see.

Question: My gauge says 180, but damn all it feels hot. Like I can't keep my fingers on the radiator for more than like 2-3 seconds.

180 degrees is hella hot first of all, of course you cant touch it dumb a**.

Second, your radiator is probably hotter than that because youre probably in 90-100 degree weather, plus your exhaust manifold heat radiating throughout the engine bay. Even if you put in a 160, why do you expect to touch it when its up to temp.....Thats still hella hot.

BTW, didnt mean nothing by my first comment.

You know how your radiator cap has a warning on it, do not open when hot, DUH, its to not burn your *** BY the extremely hot coolant in there.

See, I wanted to heat up some water to 180* and put my hand in it to prove to myself what 180* feels like. I just need to unplug the stock gauge, lol.

But good point: 180* is almost double our body temp, so it should be super hot to the touch. I just worry ya know.

Does anyone know if the Apex Multichecker works with our engine/ecu? If so, that would be a good way to monitor parameters such as coolant temp.

yes it does, it just taps into the wires in the harness. they go for a pretty penny though. that was the reason i switched to a SR computer, consult. oh yea, larger maps and it was free, lol

I just can't really be overheating. I mean, as much of a cooling system as I have and the fact that I NEVER have any air bubbles in my radiator. Sigh.

I thought you had an aftermarket temp gauge, thats all I would rely on. Second, you have everything replaced with a monstrous 16" fan on a KOYO. Forget about your stock non accurate gauge.

BTW, this thread is really getting long, I have another thought though. Have you considered wrapping your exhaust manifold and downpipe to help combat heat. I havent seen many people do it, but I might consider buying some of that to help keep engine bay heat to a minimum.

Yeah, my cooling system is pretty bad ***. I do have an aftermarket gauge, so I will let it go.

I thought about wrapping my stock mani, but I wouldn't do it to a SSAC of the like.
