main bearings 45$rod bearings 30$all gaskets 165head bolts 50$oil pump 190$timing set 200$ i plan on doing this myself for 150clean prepare head 50$clean block 50$bore and hone 150 with planing or whatever its calledcrank polish 50assembly 200pistons and rings ??????

does anyone know where i an get these parts offline for cheaper than this? anyone know where to get some cheap pistons? do i need to change the oil pump. the motor has 220,000 miles. thanks

also do i need new cam gears, should i have the rods shotpeened. is it worth it to have the pistons ceramic coated. im aiming to get every hp i can on the stock rods. maybe 15-17 psi if they can take it. thanks

determine your horsepower goals and build the engine from their spend the money and get good components they are worth it in the long run some things are not necessary like cam gears the money you spend on them plus the additional dyno time necessary to tune them isnt worth the comparitively minimal horsepower gains you could get when compared to a similarly priced item get the oil pump its worth it as well as an oil cooler and good fuel some upgrades you can cheap out on others you cant it is worth the money for the piece of mind not having to worry about how much longer it will last especially on a high stress turbo motor
