Yes it was a budget build and i have been gathering Rx-7 parts over the years for a build + they sell great. For the motor I ended up just puttin new rings in cause everything else was within spec. Also used a full oem gasket kit.eazye2000 wrote:So were you going for a budget build? Or did you just happen to have all those parts laying around? And how far did you go with the motor? I can't tell by the pics. Any internals changed?
Thank you very mucheazye2000 wrote:But awesome job man! I think we're going to see more and more Boosted KA's hitting the streets soon.
actually im runnin the stock IAT, coolant temp sensors, and used easy therm to adjust settings. Also this is an Rx-7 turbo off of an S5 TII. If you don't know about them then check it up. RX-7 turbos are awesome, but thx for the info ill keep watch.480sx wrote:Your going to want to watch your IAT's really closely. You do have the GM open element IAT sensor wired in with MS right?
Most stock turbos run out of juice at about 14-15 psi and become heat pumps. Overheated compressed air leads to detonation pretty quick. So when you go to run higher boost just keep a close eye on it.
Gratz getting MS to work! Shoulda done MS2 tho mang
thx. Right now all the exterior mods are there from when i bought the car. I plan on a 300zx brake upgrade and new wheels for sure. Also i want to do a zenki front end upgrade.95blackzenki wrote:sweet car, keep up the good work
