hey i have a lil problom and its costing me gas like crazy its running so rich that i be getting headaches at stop lights and my rear bumper is turning black . my check engine light is on, i got it checked and they say its the knock censor and i asked som1 else and there like if you car dident have knock censor it wouldent run and they say its more likley a o2 censor problom som1 helpout plz .

where did you get the car checked and did they plug it into a computer to check or what?

If you had a oxygen sensor problem you would have idle issues, stalling issues and extremely bad gas mileage.

If your knock sensor was plugged in and clogged or malfunctioning your car would probably run as you say it is. I would get it replaced, its a bishez to get to but cheap to replace.

i think it is the o2 because you described all my problems (stalling somtimes,idling,and bad gas milage) and they did plug it into the computer but the guy looked kinda dumb so idont know..... but hopefully its not the knock censor becuase then it will be a ***** to replace it ........
